Digitalive Images – 2011 in Review

With just a few days left in what has been an amazing, challenging, busy year — my first full year as a full-time photographer — I’m reflecting upon the fantastic shoots that I had, the incredible weddings that I witnessed, and the many things that I learned along the way. It was by no means a flawless year. I made mistakes. I learned hard lessons. I had some shoots that I wasn’t particularly thrilled with. But I spent enough time dwelling upon those things. I realize now that I didn’t spend enough time and energy celebrating the moments I captured, the images I thoughtfully crafted, and those “lucky” shots I just happened to get. I was fortunate enough to shoot 16 weddings and over 70 other shoots (engagements, families, seniors, models, etc.), if my math is correct. And it’s probably not.

I’m excited to share some of my favorite images from 2011. And don’t judge me for having a couple pictures of my little guy in there. He’s my favorite subject.

I am incredibly grateful for all of my wonderful clients (pictured or not) for a great year full of new opportunities. See you in 2012!
